Regional Meeting on Financial Inclusion and Education in Latin America and the Caribbean
Financial inclusion brings security, more opportunities for people, and inclusion. To further this process and capitalize on the efforts undertaken in many countries in the region, it is necessary to create spaces for dialogue and learning to build on solid foundations as fast as possible; hence the importance of carrying out initiatives such as those promoted in this "Regional Meeting on Financial Inclusion Experiences in Latin America and the Caribbean", conducive to building more inclusive societies.
This four day event features a work agenda that involves opportunities for exchange with international experts at an International Seminar, field visits to the experiences of Chile and most representative a day of planning with Cooperating Agencies will be developed to realize a learning action plan to develop in the future.
This space for dialogue, which will bring together policymakers from more than 10 countries worldwide and experts from the region on the subject, is promoted by the Government of Chile through the Solidarity and Social Investment FOSIS, and supported of JICA Japanese International Cooperation Agency, the International Cooperation Agency of Chile AGCI, funded by the IDRC and the Ford Foundation of Canada, and the Bureau of Financial Education Chile Capital Project.
1. Promote opportunities for regional exchange and mutual learning on the lessons and challenges from unauthorized access, use, financial education and consumer protection.
2. Raising new actors on the importance of developing strategies for financial inclusion.
3. Develop joint work plans to allow the construction of a regional agenda on the matter.
