Second Edition of the Diploma Course on Social Protection for the Americas

The Pontifical Catholic University of Chile (UC) and the Organization of American States (OAS), through the Inter-American Social Protection Network (IASPN), offer the Second Edition of the Diploma Course on Social Protection of the Americas.

Duration: 5 months

Mode: Virtual through the Educational Portal of the Americas and on-site (2 weeks in the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile).

Candidates: Oriented to professionals that are in charge of the design, implementation, execution and/or evaluation of programs linked to Social Protection Systems and/or programs for the alleviation of poverty, vulnerability and inequality in the region.

Objective: To add to the Social Protection debate and contribute to the formulation and implementation of Social Protection strategies from the experience sustained during the last years in public institutions; and analyze the impact that systems and programs, have had in the reduction of poverty and inequality and finally; contribute to the perfecting of programmatic instruments that insure, with great precision, the delivery of quality social services and benefits for the citizens whom require them.    

Costs: For the second Edition of the diploma course, the OAS/IASPN – through a project funded by the United States Department of State – offers scholarships that cover in full the costs (both for the virtual portion and the on-site portion).
