CGAP, Ford Foundation, IPA, and J-PAL hosted a half-day event unveiling recently released results from the rigorous Randomized Control Trial (RCT) Impact Assessments conducted across six countries: Ethiopia, Ghana, Honduras, India, Pakistan and Peru. Since 2006, the CGAP-Ford Foundation Graduation Program has been exploring how safety nets, transfer of productive assets, access to financial services and coaching can be combined to create pathways for the poorest out of extreme poverty. The Graduation Program has been implemented in 10 sites in eight countries (Ethiopia, Ghana, Haiti, Honduras, India, Pakistan, Peru, and Yemen). Randomized evaluations were conducted and the results are impressive, with large and lasting impacts.
